Kurbits Swing

The intention of this project is to create a private space in a larger space, offering the opportunity to do whatever one like… have a coffee break, read or just relax and swing for a while.
Since it is made with a generous, one and a half person seat, there could be some room for moments to be shared.
I wanted to update the look of the traditional Hammock (Swinging couch) and create swinging seat, with free space on the side, covered with pattern foliage.
The Kurbits Hammock is a combination of the essence of swinging in a hammock and my interpretation of the old patterns in Kurbits decorations and artworks, which is my cultural heritage from Dalarna.
The pattern gives shadows on the person as the seat leaves a temporary trace on the body from the time spent swinging.
